The Full Curriculum Creates a Shared Language for the Year
Complete Journey is designed for families who want more than help with one immediate concern. It provides a comprehensive path for strengthening emotional awareness, confidence, communication, responsibility, relationships, and preparation for adulthood.
The value of the year is not simply covering more material. It is having enough time to practice what you are learning, see how the themes connect, return to earlier skills when life tests them, and make thoughtful adjustments with James’s guidance.
Over the course of the year, your family develops shared language for noticing what is happening, communicating honestly, making intentional choices, repairing after difficult moments, and continuing forward together.
Complete Journey Is a Strong Fit When
Your family wants the complete Hand in Hand experience rather than a selective theme package.
You are preparing for or moving through a meaningful season of adolescence or family change.
Several areas of growth are connected and need time, structure, and continued practice.
You want greater continuity and access to James between scheduled sessions.
Your family is willing to practice skills consistently and revisit them when challenges arise.
You want to prepare your teen for adulthood—not only respond to today’s conflict.
You value a full year of guided growth with room to review, repair, and adjust.
What Is Included
Twelve Months of Coaching
Your family receives a full year of structured coaching designed to create continuity across changing circumstances, responsibilities, and stages of growth.
Twenty-Four Private Virtual Sessions
Meet with James twice each month for a 60-minute virtual coaching session. Each session connects the Hand in Hand framework with the goals, experiences, and relationships most important to your family.
All Twelve Hand in Hand Themes
Complete Journey covers the full curriculum rather than requiring your family to select only certain themes. Each theme adds another layer to the skills developed throughout the year.
Flexible Participation
A parent, a teen, or both together may participate in each session. James will help determine the most useful format based on the current goal while clarifying consent, privacy, and parent-involvement expectations before coaching begins.
Practical Between-Session Application
Each coaching session leads to a practical action, reflection, conversation, or skill to use in everyday life. Your experiences between sessions become part of the next conversation so the coaching remains connected to what is actually happening.
Priority Email and Text Support
Priority access gives your family a way to share a brief update, ask a focused question, or request guidance when a challenge arises between scheduled sessions.
Communication channels, response expectations, availability, and reasonable-use boundaries will be explained in the coaching agreement.
Quarterly Bonus Sessions
One additional bonus session each quarter creates dedicated space to review progress, respond to a transition, revisit an earlier theme, or strengthen the connection between multiple areas of growth.
What a Full Year Makes Possible
Build the Foundation
Begin with Gratitude, Emotions, Energy, and Motivation. These themes help your family notice internal experiences, understand capacity, and connect actions with meaning.
Strengthen the Individual
Develop Confidence, Resilience, and Independence so parents and teens can approach challenges with greater courage, flexibility, responsibility, and ownership.
Deepen Connection
Use Communication and Relationships to strengthen listening, trust, boundaries, honesty, and the ability to repair after difficult moments.
Prepare for Everyday Leadership
Apply Time, Technology, and Leadership to the decisions, habits, responsibilities, and influences that shape daily life and preparation for adulthood.
Revisit and Integrate
Return to earlier themes as new responsibilities and challenges emerge. The goal is not to complete a topic and leave it behind, but to develop skills your family can continue using together.
Your Twelve-Month Rhythm
1. Establish
Clarify your family’s goals, define participation expectations, and begin developing the shared language that will guide the year.
2. Develop
Work through the twelve themes while connecting each one to your family’s experiences, relationships, and responsibilities.
3. Practice
Apply the skills between sessions through practical conversations, decisions, reflections, and actions.
4. Review
Use regular sessions, priority support, and quarterly bonus sessions to recognize progress, address barriers, and determine what needs further attention.
5. Integrate
Connect the themes so emotional awareness, confidence, communication, responsibility, trust, and leadership begin reinforcing one another.
6. Continue
Complete the year with a practical plan for maintaining the strongest gains and returning to the Hand in Hand framework when new challenges arise.
